I got all these medical crap, and then, can't afford to live, cause my rent is higher than most folks in Washington State! That was a joke.
Anyway, I want to live where rent is cheaper, but also get to my professionals that have worked my case for "YEARS!" As in this hospital practically saw me my whole life. I'm sick of having to beg for help, when something has got to be out there.
Reasons for asking for help, is I can barely get on this site, and if you hit a google link, or something, please let me know? I hate to leave my town, but they are taking too long to get me in housing that I can afford. So, I have to be proactive.
If I can't look stuff up, without crashing my computer, I have friends that can. Any nhelp, would make life easier!
I feel like I'm existing, not living. Time for that to change? YOU BET!
Basically, I'm getting off my purverbial ass, and asking for suggestions. No time to whine!
Blessings,
Sarah
Do you have the funds to move? It's an important first question.
Where do you think you'd like to live?
If you move, do you have friends, family in other places?
Another question.
I haven't got the money to buy a turkey, let alone moving. I got friends in Eastern Washington. But, I can't keep struggling like this. It's too stressful! I have to stay here long enough to get the electric company to obey ADA laws, and I will.
But, being disabled, and on waiting lists where loads of disabled folks are still waiting, bites. Plus, seniors get priority. If you're 41 and disabled, they don't care about you in Tacoma. Kind of sucks, if you ask me.
Sarah
You need to wait until you're at least 55 until people care. That's the way it is all over. Oh and the electric company just wants to be paid.
There are all kinds of housing setups. It depends on what you are and aren't willing to live with. I don't do well with roommates. If that's not an issue for you, you might be able to reduce your housing expenses. You could get an apartment with someone or, if your credit blows like mine and you're okay with some potential degree of "my house, my rules", you could rent a room in someone's home. Again, that would so, not, work for me. You might also be able to find a trailer for a reasonable price. I'm sure you've already done this, but check with the closest Center for Independent Living. If none of that pans out, you might indeed have to move. If I weren't leaving the country entirely next year, I would've had to move out of Murfreesboro and commute to school, because there is absolutely nooo affordable housing in this town right now. I wish you the best of luck, and if you still haven't figured it out in a week or so, message me. I've done this enough times that I'm sure I could help you look for resources.

Thank you, Becky.
I had to call the police twice, this month, instead of once. I guess the holidays make people drink more.
I think I may register with my local center for Independent living. Maybe, they got some ideas. I wish things would get better, soon. Oh well. At least, I've got some things to distract me, for a bit. But, that's till the holidays are over.
Anyway, I'l;ll post here, when I have something to say.
Merry Christmas!
